Together with co-workers, he developed the isotexturing process for multi-crystalline silicon, now used in dozens of solar cell production lines around the world. He comes to Spark from centrotherm photovoltaics, where he was responsible for process integration in turn-key projects for lines in Europe, America and Asia.
Dr Evan Franklin
Senior Scientist
Evan is a research and development engineer specializing in device design and fabrication for silicon solar cells. He has valuable expertise in modelling, design, manufacturing and characterisation of silicon solar cells. Evan completed his PhD in 2006 on the development of the sliver manufacturing technology, where he optimised this complex processing sequence to achieve record cell efficiencies (greater than 20%) for sliver solar cells.
